I am Jonathan, born in Nassau but raised on the island of San Salvador. Since then, I have been the only Bahamian practicing kiteboarding on this little piece of paradise every windy day on these crystal clear waters satisfying my growing passion for kiteboarding. With a very short introduction to kiteboarding, I spent more than 90% of my time without an instructor, practicing in some of the toughest conditions imaginable, using equipment that either left me stranded in the deep waters or stuck on the beach fixing my only kite. I've faced difficult challenges and countless days on the edge of giving up and more crashes than I can count. Thanks to some experienced kiters passing on their knowledge and my dedication to get up the next day and give kiteboarding one more try, I was able to overcome my toughest obstacle and finally, everything clicked. Shortly after, my progression just exploded and never looked back since.​ 

 

Teaching just came naturally to me as I spent so much time perfecting techniques that made my progression so difficult, and dedication to make sure my students don't experience what I have gone through during my beginner days. Today, my students can learn in 2 days what took me a year to learn on my own.
